There are motherboar fan headers located above the CPU for using a multitude of different cooling solutions and fans. With it's slew of features, solid performance and overclocking capabilities, I will not hesitate to give it the Extreme Excellence Award!

The layout of the board is pretty good, the IDE drive connectors are in the perfect location to the right of the DIMM slots - this way the cables don't block the case airflow or interfere with the PCI expansion cards. It was good to see that even thought Abit used a standard green heatsink on the SiS Northbridge, they also took the time to apply some thermal paste on it.
We were rather impressed by the overall "stock" performance of our ssis SiS motherboard, the MSI MAX but it was not for really built for enthusiasts.
The board is packed with features and even includes some not seen yet on other boards. Serial ATA uses a cable that is so small as to be almost non-existent visually and allows a much cleaner system environment to be built which offers better air circulation than the conventional cables permit.
Many of the other boards using this same chipset combination can only support 2GB of PC memory and only allow the use of two of the three DIMM slots available. Most users tend to buy what they need and install as they go into one of the five open PCI slots.

Shuttle has made room for you to take out your RAM modules without having to take out your graphical card. We like motherbboard board - it definitely provides you with very good value for your money. You can also use PC modules, but the support is not yet official.
