Clean the heat sink and test the laptop again. Slowly the battery began to die and now its dead so I have to use the cable always. Due to the design and manufacture of this laptop series, the Video Card, the Network card and the CPU are relatively close enough to gether to cause a problm this is comign from HP themselves by the way and something to do with the CPU getting a bit too hot, causes the video chip to run hotter, causing the network adapter to severely overheat. I was able to upgrade my presario f to 4 Gb no problem. Using Antivirus Software

Green screws securing the keyboard. Start lifting up the switch cover as it shown on the picture below. I tried to plug the vga output to an external monitor but nothing happened, still no video, I tried to reset bios, I took out the battery of bios and leave it unplugged around 16 hours I took the main battery also but nothing happens still the same result, if you have an idea please let me know, thank you. Most likely they did but who knows. Drain the battery completely dead with the WiFi switch in the ON position. In the Master Volume column, increase or decrease the volume by moving the Volume slider. I puted thermal grease between cpu and the fan. I would try to bring broken one back to the store we bought and see what they say. Does the DC Power Jack just unplug or is it soldered in and compaaq this sound like what the problem is with my laptop?

I put it back together reversing the disassembly instructions and it worked.

Click on the speaker and test the sound. Maybe the battery is bad and shorting the system. I double and triple checked all connections, took everything apart again and put it back together.

Are there known issues for the f in this respect? How do you take apart the LCD bezel to check the Inverter? Susie, God bless you!

I read about stripping the board and baking it in the oven, but not sure of temp and time. Problem is that it can not start up.

Upgrading the memory and you confirmed what I had to do. Entering An Administrator Password Swapped out memory modules as suggested and no success.

Try reconnecting the cable. Powerfully private No more data charges to co,paq unwanted content. Possible hard drive problem. What I have not been able to do is upgrade the hard drive.

Same problem with the GPU chip. Any advice would be appreciated.
